How small business owners can keep track of promises and deadlines
The real worry
When you run a small business, you are the whole system. A customer wants an estimate by Thursday. A supplier says the order ships next week. Your accountant needs a document. Someone on your team is waiting for an answer.
Most of these are not on a calendar. They are promises, made on the phone or in a text, and kept only in your memory. When one slips, it is not a little thing: it is a customer or a supplier who now trusts you a bit less.
Nirvaana is meant to hold those. You tell it what you promised in your own words, and it keeps each promise in view until it is done. It also remembers the ones people made to you.
A day with Nirvaana
This is an example, not a real user story. Say you're Marcus, who runs a small landscaping company.
7:00 a.m.: catch me up
Before the truck leaves, Marcus types:
Catch me up
It tells him what is due, with the late things first. It talks like texting someone, so he can read it in the time it takes to finish coffee.
10:00 a.m.: a promise to a customer
On a job site, Marcus tells a customer he will send the estimate by Thursday. In the truck, he says to Nirvaana: "I promised Ms. Alvarez an estimate by Thursday." It stays in view until done.
1:00 p.m.: a promise owed to him
The nursery says the shrubs will arrive Tuesday. Marcus tells Nirvaana that too. If Tuesday comes and nothing has, the promise is still there, and he knows who to call.
6:00 p.m.: Today
Marcus opens Today. It shows what he owes and what he is owed. Two customers, one supplier. No guessing.
The estimate for Ms. Alvarez is not done yet, so he knows it is the first thing for tomorrow. If it slips past Thursday, it will be at the top of his next catch-up, late things first, and he can call her before she has to call him. The nursery delivery sits on the other side of the list, as something he is owed.
Tomorrow it still knows
He does not have to repeat any of this. Nirvaana still knows tomorrow.
Money always asks
Money is where small businesses cannot afford a mistake, so here is the rule plainly: spending money waits for your yes, at every level. Nirvaana is built to stop before it sends, posts, pays, signs or deletes, and hand that step to you. Where it can, it does the work up to that point and points; you press.
The check is automatic and not perfect. Treat anything that moves money or goes to a customer as yours to read before you press.
What it connects to
- It can read a Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 account if you connect it, and only what each connection says it reads.
- Your email, calendar and files stay out until you connect them.
- It cannot see any app you have not connected, which includes your accounting software, your fleet or scheduling software and your phone.
If your business runs on tools that are not connected, tell Nirvaana what matters in your own words. It will still keep the promise in view.
A shared world for your team
A world is one part of your life with the people in it. If you have a few employees, a shared world can hold what you all keep track of. It is shared only with its people. Your own world stays yours alone, so the private things, like pricing thoughts or a hard hiring decision, stay with you until you press Approve to move something over. See Nirvaana for teams sharing knowledge for more.
What it won't do
- It is built to stop before it pays, sends or signs, and hand that step to you.
- It will not see your books unless you tell it what is in them.
- It is not a bookkeeper, a lawyer or an accountant. For tax or legal matters, ask the professional.
- It is on Mac now, with Windows and iPhone coming soon. It is US-only for now.
What stays private
- Your own world is yours alone.
- A shared world is shared only with its people, and only what you Approve goes there.
- We do not train on your world. We sell nothing and share nothing for advertising.
- You can download your world, or delete your account, from Settings.

Where to start
- Download Nirvaana for Mac from the landing page, sign in, and connect the AI you already pay for: ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. No plan? Google's free Gemini works with a Google account, and the app sets it up during the first run.
- Say the three promises weighing on you today, in your own words. Tomorrow morning, type "Catch me up".
- Connect your calendar if you want it to know your week, or skip it for now.
How it differs from a to-do app
A to-do list holds things you decide to do. A business also runs on things you owe to people and things people owe you. If you already use a task app, you can keep it. The comparison with one popular choice is in Nirvaana vs Todoist. If you have a front-office person, Nirvaana for office managers shows their day.
Helpers
Helpers are launching, and are not live everywhere yet. Each helper has one job, such as keeping promises in view. They work while you're away and leave what they found for the morning, and you approve what matters. Money always asks, at every level. If helpers are not on your account yet, nothing above depends on them.
Set it down
You already carry the business. The small promises do not need to ride along in your head too. Say them once, and let them be held.
Set it down. Nirvaana keeps track of your classes, your promises and your week, so your mind can rest.
